Holidays
Frenchman ’ s Creek honors the following holidays:
New Year’s Day
Memorial Day
Fourth of July
Labor Day
Thanksgiving
Christmas
You must normally work on the day of the week the holiday falls and be a full-time employee to be eligible for holiday pay. All full-time
employees are eligible to receive holiday pay the first day of employment only if they work the holiday. If you are a seasonal full-time or a regular full-time employee and you do not work a holiday, you will not be eligible to receive holiday pay. Eligible employees will receive a minimum of four (4) hours holiday pay or a maximum of eight (8) hours holiday pay with the total amount of hours based upon your normally scheduled shift for that day of the week. To be paid for a holiday if you don ’ t work the holiday, you must have worked the regular scheduled day immediately before and following an observed holiday. If you call in sick the day before or the day after the holiday, you will not receive holiday pay. If an observed holiday falls within a pre-arranged vacation, you will be paid for the holiday and will not be charged from your accumulated vacation. If the holiday falls on a Saturday, it will be observed on the previous Friday. If the holiday falls on a Sunday, it will be observed on the following Monday.
Full-Time Salaried (Exempt) Employees
As a condition of their employment status, full-time salaried employees are expected to be available on an “ as needed basis ” by their supervisors. If this requires you to be available for work on a holiday honored by Frenchman ’ s Creek, you will receive time off for the holiday at a time when department business activity allows as determined by your supervisor.
