This year, upon my arrival, I was thrilled to see the progress on the clubhouse, improvement in the quality of the food and improvement in the level of service. But mostly, I was thrilled to see the return of gathering together and the feeling of camaraderie. These things started me thinking about running for the board. I want to be part of this journey and help to move FC forward in a positive manner. I hope to do this with an eye to the future but never forgetting our legacy and what makes us an amazing place to live. 2. What is your vision for the future of Frenchman ’ s Creek, and as a member of the Board, what specific action plans would you advocate for now to execute your vision? I want to be a voice for all FC members. I will start by listening to you, and making sure you are heard. While it is impossible to please all of the people all of the time, every member deserves to be treated with respect, courtesy, and transparency. I found this to be important during my tenure as Chair of FCLGA. I hope to continue being an advocate for all. FC must continue the needed improvements that have been identified in our long term capital projects plan. As a member of the Executive Director search commit tee, I became aware of how badly our infrastructure has suffered due to a lack of maintenance. To continue our standing as a premier community, and to protect our individual investments, we must continue to carefully and thoughtfully invest in our capital assets and infrastructure. I believe the strategic plan put forward by GGA Partners sets out a viable timeline for ongoing improvements. Obviously, things can change and I think the board should be constantly re - evaluating the plan, with an eye toward continued enhancement of services and investment in infrastruc ture. I believe an important challenge facing Frenchman ’ s Creek, as well as other clubs, is how to stay attractive to new members while continuing to provide services and a reasonable value proposition to our more tenured members. My goal in serving on our Board is to restore and continue to build upon the strong sense of community, camaraderie, and culture that has distinguished Frenchman ’ s Creek throughout its history.
