Lisette Siegel

Lisette, and her husband, Hank, have been members of Frenchman ’ s Creek since 2013 but have been coming to the community since 1989 (35 years) when Hank ’ s parents, Martin and Denise Siegel bought here. They spent almost every winter visiting with their two sons, Andrew and Benjamin. The boys grew up playing Tikky tennis, learned golf from Luis and Rocco and ate tons of turkey and corned beef. When it came time for Hank and Lisette to move to Florida, there was no ques tion as to where they would call home. They loved all the amenities Frenchman ’ s had to offer but most of all, they loved the people. The Siegels divide their time between Florida and Princeton, New Jersey. Lisette was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She and Hank met at Emory University, and after graduating, Lisette returned to Florida to attend Nova Southeastern Law School. She worked as a criminal defense attorney at the Public Defender ’ s office of Broward County for several years, and after marrying Hank, moved to Princeton and worked for a medical malpractice defense firm in Trenton, NJ. She retired from the practice of law to focus on raising her two sons. During that time she chaired and served on many parent organizations, as well as on the board of the synagogue and on several committees for Greenwood House, a renowned local Home for the Aged. Lisette was also a classroom volunteer/teacher ’ s aide at an elementary school in Trenton, NJ. At Frenchman ’ s, Lisette has served on and chaired Women for Scripps Research, served on the board, executive board and presently chairs the Frenchman ’ s Creek Ladies Golf Association and sits on the Golf and Greens Committee. She served on the Executive Director Search Committee and was on the 2023 Nominating Commit tee.

1. Why do you want to become a member of the Board and what motivates you?

When Hank and I moved here 11 years ago, we were amongst the youngest members at that time. Tenured members, many of whom were friendly with my in - laws, embraced and welcomed us to the community. At the same time, we have had the opportunity to meet and befriend newer members. I feel my perspective as a guest from 1989 until 2013, and a resident since 2013, who believes in the bright future of FC, will allow me to have a unique voice on the board. I firmly believe the future of FC lies in all constituencies being heard and respected and most importantly brought together.
