Frenchman’s Creek housing

Deposit You will agree to have $400.00 deducted from your paycheck as a deposit towards your housing. You will understand that you will share your room with another intern/trainee or international employee. You agree that the amount of $50.00 be deducted bi-weekly from your check until this deposit amount is paid in full. The deposit will only be returned if: • You complete the required employment period to the end date as agreed upon in the offer letter, you will understand that if you choose to leave the program early that you will forfeit the deposit, and • You leave the apartment in good condition, and • You have returned all keys to human resources, and • You have paid all your portions of all outstanding bills to accounting, and • You understand that you and the individual that you share a room with are responsible for the cleanliness of the room and the joint bathroom, and that everyone in the apartment is jointly responsible for the common areas of the apartment kitchen, living area, dining and patio/balcony and that we are responsible for the upkeep of the furniture and will report any damages to Human Resource Director along with photo of damage that occurred and by whom or the everyone in the unit will be responsible for the repair of damages, and • • Frenchman’s Creek provides a stipend to cover your electric, phone, cable, internet and water each month. Any usage over the allotment must be submitted to accounting by the 25 th of each month. • Internet is provided under Frenchman’s Creek name, therefore, do not download anything free from the internet. Downloading from a free site you place yourself and Frenchman’s Creek for illegal and improper downloads which can result loss of internet services. • I understand that prior to my arrival, I signed and agreed to no parties in the apartment and any parties will be conducted at another location away from the housing complex. The cost for your visa and health insurance (approximately $2000) will be provided by Frenchman’s Creek. However, if you decide to leave before completing your training, you will be responsible to reimburse Frenchman’s Creek the unused portion of your visa and you will be required to vacate your apartment within 3 days. The visa cost is approximately $100 per month plus administration and early termination penalty of $25.00 per month. If you leave the training program early you will be responsible for paying Frenchman’s Creek back $100 for each month that you did not complete the program – for example: you leave August and your visa expires in November, you will be responsible for repaying Frenchman’s Creek $300.00. Your visa agency will be notified immediately that you left the program early and your visa will be canceled. (once the visa is canceled you must leave the US or you will be considered out of status “illegal”)

All other roommates assigned to your apartment should sign off on the apartment checklist that you are leaving the apartment in good condition and everything has been returned or given to HR. You do understand that $75 will be non-refundable to cover basic cleaning and apartment set up will be deducted from your deposit. Any fees including but not limited to as final/open monthly bills of your stay, which take approximately 6 weeks to receive, professional cleaning of the apartment, and/or any damages made that were not reported and/or taken care of prior to my departure will be deducted from the remainder of the housing deposit. The remainder of the housing deposit will be refunded to you after all the final bills from your stay have been received. Note: In the event of an early departure, the housing deposit will not be refunded. You do understand that, Frenchman’s Creek will issue one mailbox key and one key card/ pool key for each apartment. For convenience to all roommates, keys should be kept at one location within the apartment. You will have to cover the replacement cost.
