Termination Without Cause
It should be understood by all employees that Florida is an employment-at-will state. As such, we, as the employer, are free to terminate the employment relationship any time, with or without cause.
C.
Termination With Cause
Every organization must have certain rules to operate in an orderly and efficient manner. If these rules are violated, disciplinary action will be necessary; which includes termination in certain cases. Any employee terminated with cause will forfeit accrued but unused vacation pay.
D.
Exit Interview
Each terminating employee will have the opportunity for an exit interview upon separation. This interview will be with the Director of Human Resources. The purpose of the interview is to exchange information about employment experience and to complete the employee ’ s record. Suggestions for improvements and other matters regarding operations of Frenchman ’ s Creek are welcome. You may then discuss continuing the medical and dental benefits. Arrangements for the return of any uniforms, photo ID badge, employee handbook, keys, pagers, cell phones, or other employment materials will be made at the exit interview before receiving your final paycheck. Your final paycheck including any unused vacation, (to the extent applicable), will be available on the next payday for the period in which you left Frenchman ’ s Creek. Your final paycheck will be issued only if authorization is given by your supervisor and the Director of Human Resources stating that all Frenchman ’ s Creek property has been returned and any money due has been paid in full. Any direct deposit that you have for your pay will be stopped and your final paycheck will be available for pick up in the Human Resources office. Final Pay
