Relationships with Club Members
Frenchman ’ s Creek desires to avoid potential problems that can result from the perception of bias or favoritism (whether real or not), resulting from personal relationships between any employee of Frenchman ’ s Creek and any member of Frenchman ’ s Creek. Employees must obtain approval from the Executive Director before participating in any personal or social engagement with a member of the Club during the employee ’ s normal work hours. This includes, but is not limited to, engagements such as lunch, coffee, or any meeting that is not business related. The decision to approve or disapprove any such engagement shall be made solely by the Executive Director or in the absence of the Executive Director, by the Assistant General Manager. Failure to obtain permission or participate in any such engagement with a member during business hours after permission has been denied will be grounds for disciplinary action, including termination. If an employee has a personal or social relationship with a member or members outside of the employee ’ s normal work hours, the employee shall promptly disclose the relevant circumstances to the Executive Director so that reasonable measures, if needed, can be taken to prevent the possibility of the appearance of bias or favoritism. Managers or supervisors with knowledge of such a personal or social relationship must immediately advise the Executive Director.
