Board of Governor's Meeting Presentations Tuesday, December 19, 2023

December 19, 2023

▪ We continue to see improvements and business increases each week in all areas. Food revenues, cover counts in all outlets, and satisfactions scores consistently tracking at targeted goals or higher. ▪ As in other areas, events are in full swing with multiple functions happening weekly and sometimes daily. Private parties in the community have increased as well. Menu concepting is getting more and more focused thanks to great feedback from membership. ▪ We continue to make up ground on the food cost loss in the first two quarters and are now within reach of meeting our year to date budgets goals. We anticipate being able to meet our annual budget in the kitchen with a solid beating budget performance in food revenue.

▪ Jupiter Medical event raised $1.1 million, and there were multiple compliments on the food & service. ▪ At the Beach Club, the week leading up to Thanksgiving was somewhat slow, but on the Holiday, we opened for dinner at 3:30 and served 340 thanksgiving dinners at $89 per person (not including beverages).

▪ Lobster Night at the Beach Club was also successful, with 160 attending.

▪ Men’s clinics are gaining momentum, and we are now offering a Sunday Clinic for advanced players.

▪ Reservations website launched in October.

▪ During the Christmas/New Year holiday period (December 16 – January 7), guests may use the racquet sports facilities unaccompanied by the hosting member, but cannot book courts more than 24 hours in advance in order to ensure that members have priority.

▪ No more year-round 8 to 10am guest prohibition. ▪ Holiday (12/15/23-1/7/24) guest prohibition has been shortened to three hours (7 to 10am) from previous four-hour period (7 to 11am). ▪ Outside of prohibited hours, guests may use all areas of the facility, but must check in at the front desk before working out. They must also confirm availability before using the Pilates and Gyrotonics Rooms. ▪ As in the past, the guest prohibition does not include group fitness classes and Aqua Fitness classes, but guests must call on the morning of the class to confirm availability. ▪ Depending on the success of this trial, the Committee will submit a proposal for rules changes as described above, and with a proposed extended “holiday” period that begins before Thanksgiving and ends after New Year’s.
