SECOND LADIES MEMBER GUEST The second ladies member - guest tournament of the 2022 - 2023 season was held on Thursday morning, March 2, with a wonderful turnout of nearly 200 women from more than forty different clubs. Co - chairs Shelley Parker and Robin Rosenblatt came up with a great idea for the day. The Construction theme was so timely and so fitting for Frenchman’s Creek these days. All the staff wore safety reflection jackets (and many members, too), and construction equipment, warning and caution signs and cones were everywhere (as in a lot of areas here). Each golfer received a dozen golf balls and a custom made head cover, created on - line ahead of time, which was personally designed. The huge John Deere in front of the Pavilion looked right at home. Each foursome took a picture on the

driver’s seat posing with a muscular construction worker. The day started with a mulƟ - station breakfast buffet with many choices, including various egg dishes, smoked salmon and breakfast sandwiches. After breakfast, the large number of participants, more than covering both courses, were divided into four flights and teed off to play a shamble format tournament. AŌer golf there was an extensive buīet lunch in the very imaginaƟvely decorated Pavilion. A drink staƟon out front welcomed everyone back into a room sƟll Įlled with warning signs and cones. On every table, for each player, was a 73 piece Lego construcƟon kit, the picture

taken on the John Deere and beauƟful Ňoral centerpieces, some in metal lunchboxes and some in Tonka trucks. CauƟon ribbons were wrapped around each chair on which there was an addiƟonal giŌ of a 39 piece tool kit accompanied by a lovely welcoming and thank you poem (pictured above). There were mulƟple salad staƟons. Eight diīerent entrée staƟons ranged from Subway sandwiches to briskets and lobsters. The dessert buīet was fabulous – with a dozen imaginaƟve and delicious choices. A guitar player and singer provided enjoyable entertainment. ConƟnued on page 3
