The FC Art Committee has grown enormously this year. There have been meetings with our board liaison Jill Kremer and many hours spent by our committee members to make ART a unique and important benefit to our community. Many of our 2022 - 2023 goals were met with resounding success. The weekly art classes at the United Methodist Church contin ue to inspire our attending members and attract new members to develop their artistic abilities. We have worked with the marketing department to come up with new ways to advertise art events, with colorful flyers in the daily communications and posters at the dining venues. Since we could not have our annual Art Expo at the Club house, this year we implemented the Art Exhibition at the Beach Club held January 15 - April 15 with rotating artists eve ry month. Thanks to the Art Committee ’ s efforts and support

ed by our liaison, Jill Kremer, the Board and Cindy, the Beach Club turned out to be the perfect solution for the art community while enhancing the ambiance of the Beach Club … a “ win - win ”. Our Art Committee is dedicated to bringing ART to the forefront of amenities in Frenchman ’ s Creek. We are trying to secure out door space for an Art Lecturer every month. Workshops are be ing formed for photography, jewelry making and other arts. Our committee members will continue to work tirelessly to accom plish these and other goals to make our ART program the best of any Country Club. We look forward to our new art studio space in the future.

The goal of the Entertainment Committee is to provide a wide variety of entertainment options for our ever - changing com munity. We strive to appeal to the wide variety of age ranges, from our senior to new and younger members. We felt that the best way to accomplish these goals was to interview and appoint new and younger members to serve on the committee. By successfully doing so, our committee now represents a cross - section of the membership. As a result, we believe that our series of planned events for the 2022 - 2023 season is pro moting greater member interaction, that we are sensitive to the entertainment interests of all age groups and is enhancing our sense of community.

Our proposed calendar of events was carefully crafted to have "something for everyone." As a committee, we are well aware of the changing demographics of our membership and embrace our new members, especially our new younger members who will help sustain the viability of our club for many years to come. We have created sub - committees who work along - side the two Chairs of the Entertainment Committee to evaluate and chose the talent. They also work with management in the planning of each event. Additionally, we have chosen a representative of our com mittee to work with the Link and MAC committees to enable us to promote our events to the entire membership.
