Florida ID/ Driver License
• The drinking age in the USA is 21 years old…. Back home, some of you may have been drinking since you were 18 years old (legally), but here the minimum age to drink is 21. • In the U.S.A., you are required to produce a valid picture ID in order to get into a bar or club. Please do not take your passport, we do not want you to lose it. • The driving age is 16 years old.
How to Apply for a Florida Identification Card or Driving License:
Visit the North County Courthouse at 3188 PGA Blvd, Palm Beach Gardens or Driver’s License Office which is located at: 3185 PGA Boulevard, Phone number (561) 681-6333, Office hours Mondays to Fridays, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm excluding Holidays. Make sure to make an appointment ahead of time at: https://www.flhsmv.gov/ • Show proof of nonimmigrant classification provided by United States Department of Justice (Passport, DS 2019, Visa. Please take all your INS documentation with you. • Show your Social Security card (you have to wait until you receive it to be able to do your driving test) • Provide 2 proofs of your correct address - Frenchman’s Creek Human Resources office will be happy to provide a letter for you verifying your address. A paycheck or a bank statement will also be accepted as proof of your address. • You can pick up a copy of the book at the DMV or HR office. All other countries need to take the Driving test as well. You will need a car for that. • The cost for a driving test is about $54. If you fail the test and wish to retake it, you are required to pay the fee again.
