Season Handbook 2022-2023

– something at which she excels and in which she takes great pride. One of the services we had to temporarily suspend this summer was In-Home Maintenance. Doing so brought us no joy but was essential so that we could successfully manage the transition into our temporary facilities. In addition, the programhad become unwieldy, and had departed from the original intent of providing basic support services to residents in a fiscally responsible manner. Reintroducing this program in the future is something that will be a goal for our new Facilities, Engineering, and Construction Director, Santiago Gonzalez, a native of Colombia who joins the team from Miami. We hope to have that service back up and running early in the new year, once the team is fully staffed and Santiago has had the chance to wrap his arms around the temporary operations, and of course the Clubhouse Construction project. In addition, Santiago will begin to work closely with the ARB in order to provide oversight and support to the numerous residential construction projects that continue apace around the community. My goal is to build a world class team to take Frenchman’s to the top of the industry, and I am thrilled to have a blend of tenured and new managers to lead us forward to new heights of excellence. Another key to my success will be ensuring that I have good visibility on operations. Candidly, that has been hard to accomplish and will remain a challenge as we work through the process of establishing a comprehensive strategic plan for the community, and then tackle a series of major capital improvement projects that will add value to both your membership experience and your homes. Ultimately, nothing does more to drive the value of your investment in Frenchman’s than the brand of the community, which is driven by the quality of our club operations, and my primary responsibility is to manage that process. I worked my way up through the ranks in hospitality and have a genuine love for operations; there is nothing I enjoy more than interacting with members and leading the team, so you can expect to see me in the Pavilion, at the Beach Club, and around the Golf, Tennis and Fitness operations as time permits. I am also more than happy to schedule meetings with members who wish to get more “face time” with me, and have now met with almost 100 members in smaller group and one on one settings. Ultimately, I am here to serve you, so if you ever want to meet with me, just reach out to my assistant, Brad, at BDaley@frenchmanscreek.com and he will find a convenient time for us to “break bread”. In this edition of the Season Handbook you will find details of all the activities we have planned for you to enjoy. There is also important information about new policies and procedures, especially with regard to Reservation and Cancelation Policies for Club Events that I would urge you to review because there will be capacity and production capability issues that could impact your enjoyment of the club if you don’t understand the new “rules of the road”. In closing, while it might be one of the most challenging seasons to manage in the history of Frenchman’s, my team and I look forward to being of service, and are committed to giving you a season to remember. We appreciate your patience and understanding regarding the inherent limitations of our temporary facilities, and will be working tirelessly to give you the best facilities, products, and services that we possibly can. Yours Truly, Miles W. Tucker CCM Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer
