NOVEMBER DECEMBER FCLIFE GOOD 2021
DECEMBER 2021 edition Highlighting the news and events of NOVEMBER 2021.
Hi Bobbe. It was a pre Halloween party before going to the Club’s Halloween Party at the Fitness Pool. The theme was under the sea. Present at the party at JUDY and PAUL KONIGSBERG’S home were : NEIL AND FORMAN, DOTTIE AND IRA KOVEL, NEIL, LYNNE GREEN AND BOSWELL, ADELE and JOEL FINE. We then went to the pool party which was a huge success. The club out did itself, the music was superb supported by the fact the dance floor was never empty and it went on and on and everybody just had the very best time. CAROL ABRAMS, CONNIE AND MICHAEL

Greetings,
On Wednesday, October 20, around 6pm, I was looking for a good location to do an interview with our new assistant tennis pro. Since I no longer play tennis I didn't know that the courts below the clubhouse had been cleared to prepare for the tent. I turned in and then, in an effort to turn around and go out, sank into powdered clay halfway up the wheels of my golf cart. There was no one around and it was getting dark and I didn't have my cell phone with me. I said to myself, "this is Frenchman's Creek" and I walked up to valet and asked them to call security. In minutes I had three vehicles and three strong men (and it took all three) ex- tricating my cart. I was and am so grateful to Officer Marco Martin, Medic Samuel Ferreira
and Sargent Bill Sabine for rescuing me. Thank you!! Frenchman's Creek security is the gold standard. B est wishes, NORMA LIPPMAN , member since January, 1987
Lily Anchin, granddaughter of JOAN and JIM ANCHIN, with her tennis team, won the New York State Division 2 team tennis championship at the Billie
Jean King Stadium. Lily played both doubles and singles and won all her matches through- out the tournament. This was the first state championship for Armonk NEW YORK [Byram Hills High School] girls tennis team. A parade through Armonk happened on November 14. Lily started playing tennis at Frenchman's Creek in the 3 to 5 year old group tennis clinic. At that time she could hardly see over the net and the tennis professionals threw the balls at the child's racquet. Since then, Tikky has been a big part of her life and has helped Lily become the tennis player she is today. Obviously, the parents, grandparents and Tikky are very proud of Lily.

The Frenchman ’ s Creek Ladies ’ Golf Association official opening day tournament for the 2021 - 2022 season was held on Tuesday, November 2nd - a lovely day for golf. Despite the forecast, Frenchman ’ s Creek won out over Mother Nature. Even though quite a few members had not yet re turned south, there were 154 players taking part in the nine hole ABCD step - aside scramble tournament. They were divided into four competing groups, front and back of the North and South golf courses. Following golf, our excellent dining staff, with special kudos to Chef Ernesto, prepared and served a delicious three course luncheon held on the driving range. November Nine Wine and Dine
The November Nine Wine and Dine, originally scheduled for Friday, November 5, was postponed to Sunday, November 7 because of the weather - one time when Mother Nature beat Frenchman ’ s Creek. The Sunday tournament, however, was lovely with almost 120 members, divided into four flights, playing the step - aside scramble format. Following golf, everyone enjoyed the barbeque dinner, which was moved from the driving range to the Bistro 19. Thank you to the golf and dining staffs and co - chairs Susan Fuirst and Sandi Lamm for a successful day and doing so well overcoming all the necessary changes .

Veterans’Day Golf
Frenchman ’ s Creek members should be very proud of themselves and the Veterans ’ Day golf event which was held exactly on Veterans ’ Day, November 11, to raise money for the VA of West Palm Beach. Starting with an 8:45 shotgun, almost 200 members took part in the eighteen hole step - aside scramble tournament. The teams, some all men, some all wom- en and some mixed, more than covered both courses. As has been common this year, the after golf luncheon was held on the driving range. Thank you to the dining staff for the
luncheon. Kudos and thank you to the golf staff that planned such a thoughtful event and the generous Frenchman ’ s members who raised more then $31,000 for such a wonderful cause. Congrats to all and the winners.
