FRENCHMANS CREEK PLAYS FOR P.I.N.K. This years’ Women's Charity events were held to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Our Play for P.I.N.K (Prevention, Immediate diagnosis, New technology, Knowledge) events started on Saturday January 27th at the Beach Club with a lovely luncheon and then a card party, held at the Church, where 120 women attended. On Tuesday, January 30, the second event of Play For P.I.N.K. was held – THE GOLF TOURNAMENT. It had a wonderful participation with 140 women, 9 and 18 holers, braving the very cool weather to participate. However, due to the weather, it was just a 9 hole event. This was followed by a delicious multi-choice buffet, with a fabulous des sert assortment. After lunch, Beth Hornstein, a member of the national Advisory Board ,spoke about the importance of Play for P.I.N.K. in its fundraising efforts for Breast Cancer Research. Lovely gifts were provided to all those who attended both events by the Estee Lauder Foundation who underwrites the administrative costs of Play For P.I.N.K. and enables all proceeds to go the charity. Many thanks to the golf staff and our golf superintendent, our administrative staff and our food and beverage staffs for the great effort they put in to helping with all aspects of the arrangements and making these events so successful. Special thanks to our chairperson, Marjorie Feld and her co-chairs, M L Cocci, Andrea Finkel, and Robin Kimball, pictured below with Beth Hornstein, for planning and organ izing the enjoyable events. The success of this event, which raised over $170,000, is due to the generosity of OUR members. FRENCHMANS CREEK PLAYS FOR P.I.N.K.
