Receipt of Gratuities and Gifts
Frenchman ’ s Creek policy forbids the receipt of gratuities or gifts by employees from members and/or their guests, vendors or other organizations with which Frenchman ’ s Creek conducts business. Such gratuities or gifts should therefore never be solicited. To the greatest extent possible, employees should communicate this message to everyone with whom Frenchman ’ s Creek does business. If, contrary to such policy, an employee receives a gratuity or gift, they should return it promptly to the sender and inform the Director of Human Resources of the incident immediately. The returned gratuity or gift should be accompanied by a letter thanking the person for his/her thoughtfulness and making a reference to Frenchman ’ s Creek policy.
Exceptions
On your birthday and during the month of December, employees are permitted to receive gifts from members. The payment of cash gratuities to F&B staff who are working at events in members ’ homes is also encouraged at the end of the event. Tipping is also permitted when staff members have been retained to provide “ personal services ” as outlined in Section MM above.

Workplace Monitoring
Workplace monitoring may be conducted by Frenchman ’ s Creek to ensure quality control, employee safety, security, and member satisfaction.
Frenchman ’ s Creek may conduct video surveillance of non-private workplace areas. Video monitoring is used to identify safety concerns, maintain quality control, detect theft and misconduct, and discourage or prevent acts of harassment, discrimination, bullying, and workplace violence. As each employee completes a criminal background screening when entering employment with Frenchman ’ s Creek, Frenchman ’ s Creek reserves the right to conduct random background checks in compliance with federal and state law. The purpose of conducting random background screening is to ensure that the employment eligibility has not changed during the employee ’ s term of employment with Frenchman ’ s Creek. If a background screening is returned with unacceptable information on it, a discussion will be held between the employee and the Director of Human Resources. Depending on the information learned during the screening and the meeting with the employee, a decision may be made to terminate the employee ’ s employment. Frenchman ’ s Creek will also conduct driving records on an annual and random basis. Any employee who drives and receives more than six points over a course of a year will have their driving privileges revoked until such points are removed from the employee ’ s record. Frenchman ’ s Creek reserves the right to open and read emails received or sent through the use of Frenchman ’ s Creek property. Email should only be used to conduct Frenchman ’ s Creek business.
