SECURITY

Fred Corvo - Director of Security

During these unprecedented and challenging times, we are delighted to see so many members of our community walking and bicycling. Our number one goal is your safety and security; we would like you to please continue to be safe while conducting all of your outdoor activities. I am sure all of our motorists have seen an increase of members on our streets, therefore I ask you to please pay special attention to this condition and obey all traffic directions.

IS FRENCHMAN’S CREEK DRIVE AND TOURNAMENT DRIVE ONE OR TWO LANES ? These two roadways are SINGLE LANE roads. They are very wide to accommodate pedestrians, cyclists, golf carts, maintenance personnel or security/emergency vehicles. Vehicles should travel in the center of the roadways until they need to move over to accommodate for pedestrians, cyclists, golf carts, maintenance personnel or security/emergency vehicles. There is NO PASSING LANE on Frenchman’s Creek roadways.

DO PEDESTRIANS WALK FACING TRAFFIC?

The safe way to walk is facing traffic so you have a visual of the cars ahead of you. Please remember, and remind all guests, that pedestrians walk facing traffic on the curb side of the road and cyclists ride with traffic while on property. Security staff will be educating guests they encounter walking or cycling in the wrong direction to keep us all on the same page. These encounters typically occur during the holiday season, when guests and relatives are present and are either unaware of the rules or forgot about them.
