MEN ’ S HEALTH DAY Unfortunately the 2022 Men ’ s Health Day golf tourna ment was rained out. But, that didn ’ t dampen our enthusi asm for the day. Dr. Amit Rastogi President of Jupiter Medical Center, enlightened us on the hospital ’ s progress, focusing on the new 5 story patient tower being built on their campus. Traci Simonsen the current development director also shared some insight regarding The Presidents Council and the benefits we receive as members. The catering staff presented a beautiful lunch for over 150 in attendance. At that time we announce another success ful year raising over $1.2 mill. Frenchman ’ s Creek is known for its superb service, a beautiful Beach Club, and 2 championship courses. More then that we are a caring community, supporting a multitude of causes. So, thank you to all residents, and especially our newer residents who helped make this year ’ s campaign so suc cessful.

Frenchman ’ s Creek Women UF Scripps Biomedical Research

Three events were organized this year to educate our members and their families about our annual fundraiser on behalf of UF Scripps Biomedical Research. The first was a cocktail party for all Frenchman ’ s Creek members at the UF Scripps campus, including tours of the facility, labs and robot viewing, led by scientists and research assistants. During the winter vacation, our grandchildren took part in “ Junior Scientists for a Day ” workshops. Here they participated in various experiments, led by UF Scripps graduate students. Each Junior scientist left with a lab T shirt and other mementos of their experiences working with actual scientists. The annual golf tournament was a huge success, fol lowed by a special luncheon and traditional candle light ing ceremony. This year we collected more than $160,000 for our day of golf. We want to thank all of the participants who made this event another successful one. We have added this to Frenchman ’ s Creek 14 year total, bringing our donation to over $2.7 million.
