This year has been a year of transition for the Technology Committee. As we moved out of the clubhouse into the tempo rary facilities, the primary goal of the committee was to ensure IT operations experienced minimal disruptions and downtime. The servers were moved out of the clubhouse into a new dedi cated room at the POA offices. New A/C and generators were installed to support the servers. Additionally, as the existing servers reached end of life, new servers were purchased, and the data moved from the old to the new equipment. These new servers will provide support of our current applications for the foreseeable future. The Technology Committee worked with the Temporary Facili ties Committee to install the TV ’ s, Sound and HVAC and Lights control systems in the pavilion. All these operations are now controlled on an Ipad and able to be accessed remotely via the internet.
The new Hotwire contract has gone into effect with many up grades to the members, most importantly new redundant fiber optic cables throughout the community. Upgrades are being rolled out to the membership over time including new alarm panels, new tv set top boxes and much faster internet speeds. In the next part of this year, additional Hotwire services will come on line including computer support and maintenance for all Frenchman ’ s security cameras. Going forward, technology is an important component in the design of the new Clubhouse and considerable attention is being given to the inclusion and implementation of internet, all control systems (lights, security, hvac, fire) and A/V systems.

This year has been one of transition as we look forward to a new racquet sports complex. We welcomed our new tennis profes sional, Paulo Hexsel, who has immediately made a positive im pact. The committee has made site visits to our neighboring clubs to be able to pick out the best vendors going forward to ensure the highest quality in courts surfaces and court side amenities. Presently we are limited to 8 tennis and 6 Tikky ball courts and we are able to meet the needs of our community. Tikky and Pau lo have incorporated men's clinics, men's round robin as well as pickle ball outings at Lilac Park in Palm Beach Gardens. Popu lar events include Tikky Welcome Back parties, Glow in the Dark Tikky ball, excursions to the Miami Tennis Open and Tri sports challenge.
We look forward to women's inter club competition this 2023 season captained by Lynne Cooper.
A special thanks to Tikky, Paulo and Paul for all their hard work, for their excellent teaching and scheduling. Special ap preciation to Diane Exter and Miles Tucker for understanding our needs and providing support and guidance.
