SUBSTANTIAL RENOVATION PRESENTATION A RENOVATION AND EXPANSION IS THE WISEST AND MOST PRACTICAL INVESTMENT FOR THE FUTURE OF FRENCHMAN’S CREEK Our Clubhouse sits majestically atop its beautiful driveway overlooking the palm shaded Tournament Drive. It was designed to be an extension of our homes; warm, inviting, gracious and comfortable. The Renovation, designed by Brian Idle of Peacock and Lewis, will retain all of those qualities, and be redesigned with new furniture, fixtures, colors, and expanded outdoor spaces, while adding operational and technical efficiencies.
•We, like almost all of the residential golf clubs in southern Florida, have chosen renovation rather than replacement. It is dramatically less expensive to renovate an existing building than to destroy and replace it, but there are other reasons that are equally as important. •We expect the renovation can begin earlier and be completed sooner. •We will retain our beautiful Port Cochere entrance and its direct access to our Pre- function rooms, Ballroom, Sports bar, and Grille Room, without the use of stairs or elevators. •When entering the building, we will retain the warm ambiance rather then walking through a hotel like lobby. •Our renovated building will be 135,000 sq. ft. as compared to the replace clubhouse project which is only 105,000 sq.ft or almost 30% smaller.
•The renovated clubhouse is simply a better design as it allows free access from one venue to another without having to walk through one to get to the other. •The renovation will include the removal of everything, “down to the studs” in the Member occupied areas of the clubhouse. The Renovated Clubhouse will, of course, be up to current code. •The renovated clubhouse will have all of the same furniture and fixtures, that a new clubhouse would have,same lighting, same decorations, same floorings, etc., etc. •The Renovation is expected to cost at least $16million less than the new clubhouse and result in lower montly member assesments of a $175 per month.
