FC Life October 2018

BRINGING FCTV TO FC LIFE WHY!!!! As we all know, Life Changes and so it has for our TV Specialist, JP Caldwell had to resign his position, so we are bringing you a little of FCTV’S new events to FC LIFE, just for this issue! MEET MARC HOFFMAN our new SPORTS BAR MANAGER. We know him from the Beach Club you are saying, but see Marc in a new light. At the Beach Club, he was in a traditional elegant culinary setting where

at the Sports Bar, he can be creative, fun loving and a free spirit! The following are some of his new ideas. Wine Down Wednesdays was in the works before he became manager, but he put the idea into motion and fruition. He suggests, bring a friend, a guest and enjoy the live music of Darrell Gwinn, bass guitarist or dance if you so wish. By the way, the menu specials change every Monday. Another new innovation is “Mixology Tuesday,” happening every other Tuesday from 4-6 p.m. It is dedicated to the arts and crafts of mixology. Starting date OCTOBER 9TH. Object begin with an original mixed drink and he will show you all the variations of the drink. Another Tuesday, will be “Battle of the Bartenders, where members will be the Bartenders. Some Tuesdays will be for members to decide the cocktail of the month! If members have a drink, the club does no offer or one you have had elsewhere and club does not have, bring it to the bar, all the members present will sample all the drinks provided and made at the bar by the member, and vote which drink will be the new cocktail of the

month! Then another Tuesday will be Celebrity Bartender where one member is the bartender for that 4-6 time period. Come and find our how good your neighbor is at tending bar. Marc will continue to implement fun things for the sports bar as he would like it to be your place of going 4-6 p.m. or after hours, after mov- ies, dinner elsewhere or you want to come after dinner at your own home and/or have nothing else to do – come and enjoy the company of your neighbors and have fun at the Sports Bar.

FCTV CHANNEL 999 NEWS By Norma Lippman, FCTV CHAIR

JP Caldwell was here a little more than a year, but in that time, he did wonders for channel 999, our Frenchman’s Creek closed-circuit television. JP is an outstanding TV technical person who recently left Frenchman's Creek staff for personal reasons, and during his time with us we acquired a Canon videography camera, a Canon DSLR 6D (photography and videography) camera. All lights were upgraded to LED's. Plus, we now have battery powered lights for mobile use. Also, we now have FCTV studio, which is located in the old art studio. It is furnished with a green screen wall, storage space for equipment, sound proof flooring and sound proof moving blankets. In addition, we have been upgraded and converted from SD to now HD (high definition). Though we are sorry to say good bye to JP, we are thrilled to welcome

ANGEL SOTO , our new Audio Visual Technician. As a multi-award winner and entertainment professional, Angel is always looking for the next opportunity to bring quality and impact through his work. He recently graduated college this year and already has a publication posted on the WPTV news site. Angel has worked in many different areas of both the film and animation industry since starting out in 2013, and he is always looking for exciting new experiences that will force him to think outside the box and use his creativity in new ways.

We welcome Angel to our staff at Frenchman’s Creek.
