FC Life October 2018

Leave it to RHO and ALAN EDELMAN to come up with a clever weekend for their sons! This year is the Third Annual PABO experience. “POPPY ALL BOYS OUTING.” It consisted of 6 men– their son, John; son-in-law, Andy Groh; grandson, Benjamin Edelman; grandson, Ian Groh; two grand sons-in-law, Joe Young and Steve Catania. They gathered in mid-August for a weekend of fun? Or exhaustion! They began Friday with an hour and a half golf clinic with Kim and Chris; forty five minutes on the driving range and forty five minutes in the chipping area. They then played 9 holes of a mini golf tournament. After lunch, they went to the fitness center where Christine had a boot camp ready for them for one and a half hours. After collapsing, they had massages. That was not the end! For dinner, each son had an assigned item to make. Dinner was at home, however, not ready until 10 p.m.! Poppy was kind as he was assigned clean up detail. On to Saturday where breakfast at the 19th hole commenced at 8 a.m. Afterward, they had a pickle ball tournament followed by another 9 hole golf tournament. After lunch, there was a pitch and putt tournament. Dinner was at the Sports Bar– thankfully they were absolved from making dinner. Sunday morning, up at 8 a.m. where they joined Poppy at water aerobics class because they wanted to see what Poppy does at Frenchman’s. After that, they were off to the Beach Club for a swim in the ocean and Brunch. They came home, collapsing again and went home to Philadelphia, and New Jersey.

RHO and ALAN EDELMAN are so proud of their grandson, Ben Edelman, who was nominated and won an OBIE award for the Off-Broadway show ADMISSION for Best Feature Performance. For the same show, he was nominated for a Dorothy Loudon Critic Award, but lost to Nathan Lane.
