JUNE FC LIFE
JUNE 2020 edition
The Homefront column is designed to inform our members where in the community our new residents are living and other residences they may have. It also keeps up with our present members who have stayed in the community but moved to new dwellings. Of course we always wish our members who are moving out of the community good luck wherever their travels take them and our new members and established members good luck in their new address.
We welcome SUSAN and SCOTT WEIL who purchased Judy Light’s home on Verde Drive. They also reside in Port Washington, New York.
Our staff enjoys writing about your happy occasions, proud moments, and that which is of interest in your lives that our members would like to hear about.
Please contact one of our correspondents or the editor with your information. Our publication is only as good as the information you so wonderfully give us, as we are for and by the members about Life at Frenchman’s Creek.

Meet RICK and LINDA STRUSINER who bought the Epstein home on Burgundy Drive. They also reside in Highland Park, Illinois. They are excited to be at Frenchman’s and cannot wait to start living here.
Say hello to CYNTHIA and JOSEPH KAPLAN who bought Patty and Bob Annunziata’s house on Miro Drive. They also have a residence in Highland Park, Illinois. They are both excellent golfers! (Do not worry, the Annunziatas are not leaving our community.)

DR. ILENE GERBER is so proud of her grandson, Julian Gerber, who is Valedictorian of his High School of American Studies at Lehman College in New York City. He has been accepted to Columbia College in New York City. When he enters in September, he will be the third generation Gerber to attend Columbia after Buddy, his grandpa, and Douglas, his father.
BARBARA (BOBBE) WIENER is very excited to finally be a GIGI (Great Grandmother). It is a family of firsts; first child, first grandchild and now first great grandchild. HELENA BLAIR LABAR was born June 2, 2020. She lives in Allentown, Pennsylvania with her parents, Jessica and Zach and her grandparents, Lori and Joel Wiener. She is named after Jessica’s PAPA Howard (Bud) Wiener and Zach’s great grandmother, Barbara. How coincidental to have Barbara and Howard again. By the way, she “told” her parents to call her Leni.
JAY and EVELYN GUTKIN are proud to announce that their thirteen-year-old grandson, Miles Levine, has been accepted to the pre-college program at the Julliard School of Music and Arts in New York City.
LORETTA and BOB LIFTON are also proud of their grandson, Matt Hooper. June 4th saw the launching of “Live! From Tomorrow” (part one), a five hour podcast in weekly segments of a musical saga written and performed by their grandson, Matt Hooper, who many see as the voice of his generation. Part two, now in production, will cover COVID-19 and subsequent events, so that together they represent an in-depth portrait of our times in the form of a musical play, which also incorporates interviews with relevant figures like Jessie Jackson and Andrew Yang. This work was informed in part by Matt’s experience as Vice President of Innovations at Barclays Bank and his frequent activities as a moderator for major companies, such as IBM, to carry out interviews with their executives on topics about which they seek public understanding, like blockchain and quantum technology. In its first three days of launching and before its promotional program, the podcast has already placed in the top 20 percent of podcast listened. I hope that our members and their families (particularly the younger members) will find the podcast enjoyable and stimulating to listen to. Here is the link to the podcast, which you can get on Apple, Spotify, or wherever you listen to podcasts. Make sure you start with Episode One called Live! From Tomorrow in the coffee shop. Let me know if you have any problems. Bob https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/live-from-tomorrow/id1508924886
