Ladies Member-Member Golf Tournament

January Nine Wine and Dine Frenchman’s golfers welcomed 2019 with yet another great Nine, Wine and Dine tour- nament on January 4. Again a wonderful turnout of 176 – 44 teams, which were divided into four flights that more than covered both courses - played a step-aside scramble. As usual, golf was followed by cocktails, hors d’oevres and dinner. One change this month was in the prizes awarded, with all the first place winners receiving dinners in the Grill Room and all second place winners receiving a bottle of wine. Co-chairs Robin Rosenblatt and Sue Shaw, with the cooperation of our great golf and dining staffs did a super job and deserve many thanks. Their efforts have led to an already large sign-up eagerly awaiting February’s tournament. Mimi Bergel The 2019 Ladies Member-Member Golf Tournament began on Tuesday, January 8. The golfers made their own twosomes and each pairing was a match play – better ball of part- ners. One pair in each group was eliminated the first day, with continuing twosomes again paired for the second round of play on Thursday, January 10. Again half the players were eliminated and the finals were played on Thursday, January 17, with one pair of winners in each of the four flights. Winners and Runners-Up on previous page.
