“ Slow down to see the world” is the phrase Butterfield and Robinson uses to describe the bicycle trips that they arrange.

Whether we want to slow down or not after 27 bike trips around this world, our bikes are moving slower. We are pumping just as hard but the bikes are just not going as fast. However, the landscapes we see are just as beautiful. This fall, we flew to Portugal for the first time and really enjoyed this beautiful country on a bicycle. It was still quite warm and we rode usually from about 8:30 or 9 until 2 P.M. After lunch it was just too warm to ride but the hotels B&R arrange are usually excellent and sitting around the pool and swimming was not too much of a sacrifice.

Our son, daughter-in-law, daughter (her husband is a lawyer and had an important case and had to cancel) and another friend joined us along with 14 other very nice bikers.
