FC LIFE January 2023-Edited Copy

Did you notice how different and special this year ’ s holiday lights were ? There were more trees lit up upon entering our complex and the leaves of the palms were lit this year. Also , did you ever wonder who is responsible for all this display ? Steve Thomson, Director of Landscaping, is responsible for the holiday lighting every year. He tells us that Bernie Polselli and h im start with the preparations in June prior to the lighting needs, they inventory, plan and design new areas to enhance the experience ; review, budget, place all orders for lighting and supplies, and for him , the stress of completing the lighting display. This year Steve was on target for lighting the holiday lights on Thanksgiving , but unfortunately they had the high winds from hurricane Ian that severely damaged many of the existing newly installed lighting on the royal palms on Tournament Drive that had to be redone. They have added a few more highlights to improve the lighting experience , especially at the front entrance. He's so proud of Bernie, him self , and his staff for the completion of this extremely difficult task , especially since all of their other duties must be continued without delay. I hope that the holiday lighting installation gives the residents of Frenchman ’ s the happy holiday feeling. By the way, Steve and his staff have done the holiday lighting for the past 12 years.

Thank you to Brad Daley and Tom Wozniak for these photos of the lights
