SUSAN SORGER is so happy to have good news. She is most proud of her grandson, Max Sorger. On Sunday July 26, he became the youngest member of Montclair Golf Club (founded in 1893) in West Orange, New Jersey, to win the men’s golf championship.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO OUR SUMMER MEMBERS from the administration. Thank you for abiding with the wearing mask rules and distancing rules. We hope that all the members upon returning will abide by the existing rules at that time. As you are aware, the rules are ever changing , so keep tuned to the latest developments and what is expected of all our members.

The Homefront column is designed to inform our members where in the community our new residents are living and other residences they may have. It also keeps up with our present members who have stayed in the community but moved to new dwellings. Of course we always wish our members who are moving out of the community good luck wherever their travels take them and our new members and established members good luck in their new address.

We welcome 6 new members to Frenchman’s Creek this month. Because of COVID 19 and distancing, please say hello when you see our new members.

AMY and GILBERT HOLLANDER purchased the Elasfouri home on on Parc Drive. They will be full time residents. They have three grown sons who live in different parts of the country. Amy and Gilbert are very happy to be at Frenchman’s and we wish them many days of great times.

JOANNE and STEVEN MANDELL bought a home on Provence Drive. They also reside in Fairfield, Ohio. They are both golfers. We wish you enjoyable times at Frenchman’s for many years.

K ENNETH BEZOZO and MARIA KAUFMAN (Mrs. Bezozo) purchased Hildegarde Alcure’s home on Burgundy Drive South. They also belong to Crestmont Country Club in West Orange, New Jersey. We wish you many years of fun in the sun at Frenchman’s.

KIM WINN and RAYMOND McALLISTER bought a home on Rivoli Drive. Raymond likes to be called Jeff. They also have a residence in Neck Lane, Westhampton, New York. Jeff is a pilot so it is no surprise that one of their hobbies is flying. Kim is still busy being an attorney. We hope you continue to keep on flying with a happy , healthy life at Frenchman’s.

CARA and ALAN YOUNG bought Naomi and Arnold Kessler’s home on Degas Drive West. They are relatives of Joan and Buddy Mopper. How great for them both to have family close by. Cara and Alan are both very good golfers and ladies watch out, Cara is a 10 handicap! We wish them a bright happy, healthy life at Frenchman’s.

We welcome the MEYER FAMILY, KATY and MICHAEL and their children, Amanda and David, pictured at left. They purchased Colin and Gail Halpern’s house on Le Bateau Drive. They also reside in New Canaan, Connecticut, and are both golfers and tennis players. We also look forward to having them featured in our Precious Pets Column. We wish them good luck and happy days at Frenchman’s.

The Community mourns the loss of our following members MARJORIE CURTIS who lived at 3671 Dijon Way and was a member since 1988. Our sympathies to her family. SHATZI GAINES who lived at 3318 Degas Drive West and was a member since 2010 but that was when she moved back to Frenchman’s. She with her husband, Jack, and Burt Haft and his wife, were the developers of Frenchman’s Creek. Of course like all large real estate developments, there were investors.
