By MIMI BERGEL The first Nine, Wine, and Dine of the season was definitely a great success. It was held on Friday afternoon, October 27, in just beautiful weather. The format was a step - aside scramble, and the participation was wonderful, with 40 teams more than covering all four of the nine hole divisions. Following golf was the wine and dine part of the day – -- a lovely dinner at the Pavilion, which included enjoyable entertainment by a D.J. and was a delightful finish to a delightful day. Thanks to Martina and the wonderful food and beverage staff for all the arrangements. Thanks also to co - chairs Sandi Hoffman and Wendy Grabler who did a great job of planning such a successful golf event.
