Our security team strives to identify safety concerns throughout the community and address these issues in a timely manner. As you make your way around our community, we ask that you keep in mind the following safety guidelines: 1. Always walk facing oncoming vehicular traffic or left shoulder to the curve. 2. Golf carts and bicycles must follow the same rules of the road as motor vehicles when traveling on the roadway. This includes head light and tail light mandates as well as traffic control devices such as stops signs, direction of travel, etc. 3. Pedestrians and bicyclists should always wear highly visible clothing. Both at night and in the daytime. Such clothing would consist of bright colors or a reflective traffic safety vest which is available at no charge from the security gate house, upon request. 4. Pedestrians should not walk more than two (2) side by side, allowing motorist ample room to pass by. 5. Always adhere to Frenchman’s Creek speed limit of 25 MPH and stop signs. 6. Pedestrians should always be granted the right of way. 7. Be particularly alert in the construction areas as routes frequently change. Slow is good. 8. Be alert for high volumes of truck and construction equipment traffic that may be present and in operation. Please contact me directly if you have any questions or would like further information by calling Security at 561-622-7800. Paul Mendez, Chairperson

I formed this Committee in April of 2023 to provide non sport Activities open to all members. I had done some research and found that less than 500 of the 1100 members played sports on a consistent basis. So the question was what was being offered to the rest of the community. There were clubs but they were private so access was by invitation only. In May, with the help of the marketing department, a survey was sent to all members listing 25 Activities and asking them to rate their interest in participating from 1 to 10. In the first 10 days we received 255 responses. Because this survey was anonymous we then had to come up with a way to contact the members directly. Therefore, on November 9th, 2023, we held our first ever Activities Fair at the Pavilion. We had tables, manned by members, so a resident could come and register their interest in over the 20 Activities being offered. Currently we are running 17 Activities which are OPENED TO ALL MEMBERS. Over 200 members are participating. They are: Duplicate Bridge, Movie Night, Concert Night, Authors Night, Cooking Club, Book Talks, Excursions, Pot Luck Dinners, Card Parties, Men's Discussion Group, Women's Discussion Group, Walking Group, Dog Lovers, Shooting Club, Car Club, Mahjong and Canasta. These activities are not individual committees. They all fall under the Activities Committee of which I am the Chairman. Individual members of the Community who sign up to join the FC Activity Committee then spearhead/run one of the numerous activities they have a particular interest in. For example, the Cooking Club is run by Robert Ellinger and Carolyn Kotler, the Shooting Club is run by Jay Kaltman, Excursions by Carol Mendez, and so on. The heads of each activity then coordinate/ communicate with me.

Our Committee is always looking to develop other groups/clubs based upon members interests. For anyone with a suggestion all they need to do is contact me to get the 'ball rolling'!

Hoping to have more input of ideas and participation for other activities in the upcoming 2024 - 2025 season from fellow residents. Thank You, Paul Mendez Email: pmendez29k@gmail.com Phone: (646) 319-6384 44 Frenchman’s Creek

From the moment the three appeared on stage opening the show with one of Bublé ’ s favorites, Feeling Good to the conclusion of the 90 - minute show, the crowd was engaged, happy and singing and clapping along to the memorable songs! Dancing In The Moonlight! Mike DelGuidice and his Band

The Final Headliner Event of the Season was on March 14. It was the perfect night for an out side concert at our newly created Outdoor Garden at the Pavilion. The Headliner Committee had a vision. They wanted to create an event that would get all age groups together with a night of varied and delicious food choices, fabulous cocktails and great entertainment. It was mission accomplished as the combination of simple decor and a great mix of open and re served seating had the desired effect of members being able to mingle and enjoy each other's company. The entire Management Team (David Kent, Martina, Marco, Carolina) and Culinary team (Executive Chef Tim, Executive Sous Chef Alex) along with the Wait and Bartending staff did a fabulous job. Mike DelGuidice (Vocalist and Guitarist for Billy Joel) was backed by his outstanding band. A group of six super musicians, with special recognition to the Sax, Guitarist and Drummer. Mike and his band had a genuine desire to please the audience with their non - stop, high energy, feel good 2 1/2 hour show. They performed covers of some of the greatest songs of all time. It was a mix of Billy Joel, Elton John, Bob Seger, Aerosmith, Journey, The Beatles, John Denver and many more. Mike also sang original songs he composed. He literally blew the members away as they danced the night away to his memorable music!

It was a show that received rave reviews. Post events comments by members: "Outstanding Show"

"Best Show Ever" "Simply Amazing" "When Can We Have Him Back"

A great time was had by all in attendance due to the combined efforts of the entire French man's Staff. A special mention to our Director of Catering and Special Events Martina who executed the perfect event.

IT WAS AN UNFORGETTABLE NIGHT!!!!

Golf news by MIMI BERGEL

2023 - 2024 Couples Member Guest Tournament This season ’ s Couples Member - Guest Golf Tournament was a lot more than just a golf tournament. With a theme of Viva Las Vegas, it was quite an occasion and had a record breaking participation as well. After registration and brunch at the Pavilion, there was a shotgun start as foursomes with guests from so many clubs went out on both courses. The format was a best ball shamble, counting best gross and net scores for each hole. There were additional prizes for closest to the pin on four different par 3 holes for lady members and guests and gentleman members and guests. After golf the décor at the Pavilion welcomed everyone with big dice and card blocks and tables and couches like a Vegas lounge. All golfers received a gift of a hybrid club of choice. There was an archway cov ered with cards and tables with glittering gold cloths and centerpieces with flowers and cards and feathers. The buffet set up on the porch was fantastic and delicious, including a raw bar, artisan table, extensive pasta stations and a design your own pasta station, beef, pork, chicken, seafood and vegetable stations, as well as a dessert station. As if the day was not active enough, there was also a casino evening with a craps table, six blackjack tables, a three card poker table and a roulette table. Everyone gambled with fake money. Many thanks to those who put so much effort into a great day – Tournament Chair Grace Drusinsky, Martina and her food and beverage staff and JR, Will and Stacy and the pro shop and golf staffs. They contributed to a super and memorable day. Second 2023 - 2024 Ladies Member - Guest Invitational The second Ladies Member - Guest Invitational was another great success, filling both courses with members and 76 guests from 43 different clubs. The theme was “ Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory ”, and many members and guests dressed in outfits to fit the theme – some as chocolates. Greeting everyone was Willy Wonka and Oompa Loompa. Each player received a miniature clock for the golf cart with “ Hope you enjoyed your time with us ” messages, gloves with candy printed patterns and a Bushnell Wingman GPS Speaker. After registration and a lovely brunch, golfers played an eighteen hole best ball shamble format. There were four flights, with two on each course, with prizes on each for low gross and first, second and third low net scores. In addi tion, there were prizes in each flight for the straightest drive on the first hole, and drives closest to the pin on differen t par three holes for members and guests in each flight. Following golf was another wonderful meal in a beautifully decorated Pavilion. As was quoted, “ Golfers came into a scrumptious small plate wonderland of food. ” So many choices, as well as a lovely buffet table with so many varied and delicious desserts. Thanks so much to co - chairs Judy Konigsberg and Dottie Kovel and their committee, Martina and the superb chefs and the food and beverage staff, and Stacy and JR and the golf staff. Everyone contributed to a memorable day.
