Jeffrey Parker

Jeffrey, and his wife, Shelley, have been happy and active residents of Frenchman’s Creek since 2007 enjoying all aspects of FC life. Their children and grandchildren live in New York City and enjoy coming to Frenchman’s Creek. An engaged member of the FC community, Jeffrey is the current Chair of the Golf Committee and is a member of the Green Committee. He was past Chair of the Grievance Committee and the Security Committee. He has also served

on the Finance Committee, the Capital Budget Subcommittee and the Beach Club Committee.

Jeffrey has been an active Board member of their cooperative both as a past President and Board member for 30 years. He has also been active on numerous for profit and non-profit Boards such as UCI, a construction materials manufacturer and the Anti-Defamation League. Jeffrey has extensive real estate and operational experience. He rehabilitated and had ground up de- velopment investments. He was the Managing Partner of the Los Angeles Biltmore, a 1000 key hotel, and developed assets from London to California, including owning and developing Element 52, an Au- berge resort in Telluride, Colorado. As a Managing Director of The First Boston Corporation, Jeffrey was responsible for the firm’s principal investments in leveraged buyouts, real estate and venture capital. He was also a tax Partner in the New York office of PricewaterhouseCoopers and was on the Executive Committee of the American op- erations of Yamaichi Securities, which was one of the ten largest banks in the world. 1. Why do you want to become a member of the Board and what motivates you? Combining my business experience with my FC committee experience I believe I can help build a consensus in the community and on the Board. My professional experience can add value and contribute to the implementation of community decisions including the clubhouse. 2. What is your vision for the future of Frenchman’s Creek, and as a member of the Board, what specific action plans would you advocate for now to execute your vision? My vision is to retain our reputation as a premier residential community by maintaining and con- stantly improving our recreational facilities. For example, we should build the long discussed golf training facility and upgrade and expand our spa. Additionally, we need to improve our pub- lic space telecom and internet access . He is a Certified Public Accountant and an attorney. He was an Adjunct Professor at New York Univer- sity Stern School of Business and Fordham Graduate School.
