Notary Public Services at the POA Our licensed professional notary public services are here at the POA Office to make life easier. Once your documents are notarized, we will help you make any necessary copies and send them where they need to go. Why do documents need to be notarized? A notary public acts as an impartial third-party witness to not only the signature of a document, but also that all parties who signed a document did so willingly and under their own free will. Be Prepared and Ready to have your documents notarized. 1. Schedule an Appointment at the POAOffice at (561) 627-1467. 2. Bring a valid, government issued photo IDwith you when you visit the POAOffice for notary services. 3. Laws vary by state and some documents may require witnesses in addition to the notarization. In most cases, the notary cannot act as a witness. Mowing Schedule If you remember, lastmonth I was going on about the record heat and precipitation inDecember and was looking for a change. Well, it looks like I got my wish. It was 52 degrees this morning and currently we have sunshine and 70 outside, great golf weather! January and February are my favorite months in Florida because the plants grow slower and we can tackle other projects that we do not have time to do in the summer. The cooler weather also slows the growth rate of the turf areas so we can increase the interval between cuts, giving the turf a longer period of time to recover the mower traffic. We will normally cut every other week during the winter months. That being said, if you have an upcoming event or family gathering at your home and you need the grass cut on an off week please let us know in advance and we will be happy to schedule it for you. Depending on the weather we will resume weekly mowings on or about the end of February. Enjoy the rest of the Season!

Top 4 Reasons for a clean lawn Dealing with pet waste is one of those topics that every pet owner must deal with but no one likes to talk about. The fact is that the majority of community and neighborhood pet problems result from the inappropriate handling of pet waste. In addition, pet waste is the greatest source of potential health risk for your pet and your family. This article will highlight the five most important reasons to properly dispose of pet waste and will also give you some tips and products to make this chore easier. #1 Disease Control There are several very common diseases that can be transmitted to dogs, cats and people through feces.These includeGiardia, roundworms, hookworms, Salmonella, and E.coli. Did you know a heavily infected puppy can pass over a million roundworm eggs everyday? In addition, your dog can spread or contract parvovirus or coronavirus through infected feces. All of these diseases are very serious and common and every effort should be made by pet owners to keep their pets and family away from potentially infected feces. #2 Fly Control Flies will consume and lay eggs in feces. These same flies will then come into your house and then spread disease as they pause on your counter and food. Need we say more about keeping feces cleaned up to prevent this cycle? #3 Responsible Pet Ownership Your responsibility to clean up after your pet doesn’t end when your dog leaves your yard. There are probably fewer things that aggravate neighbors more than a dog that ‘goes’ in their yard. Pet owners need to clean up after their pet every time they go to the bathroom. Period. No exceptions. If you are walking in the woods and your dog goes, then bury it. If you are in a park or neighborhood, pick it up with a plastic bag or a Dispoz-a-Scoop. If you don’t have a yard, then walk your dog on a leash or get an electronic fence. Don’t make your responsibility somebody else’s problem. #4 Preventing Stool Eating While most dog owners think this doesn’t apply to them or their dog, the shocking truth is that most dogs will engage in this unsavory practice at some point in their life. Dogs evolved as carnivore/scavengers and feces were considered fair game in lean times. To prevent this occasional indiscretion from becoming a life-long habit, clean up feces as soon as possible, especially in young dogs where the problem is most prevalent.

New Marine Patrol Boat in Service This shiny newMarine Patrol Boat takes over your Marine Patrol Services. After 6000 hours the existing patrol boat has been replacedwith thisUSCoastGuard ready boat. It will be customized to our needs and finishing touches such as the light bar and night vision flare unit are to be completed. Jason Mammino is your Frenchman’s Creek Boat Patrol Officer. He is also currently active with theUSCoast Guard and he is looking forward to finally patroling the waterways in the new boat after its initial break in period. During his daily patrols, which are on a random schedule, Jason manoeuvers the patrol boat on the waterways behind your homes from the Donald Ross Bridge and under the Prosperity Bridge to inspect your backyards and the backyards on La Porte Drive. He watches out for incoming waterway traffic and acts as deterrent for possible property trespassers. He performs dock and lift inspections to ensure dock safety and welfare of the vessels at members homes regularly. Jason also reports issues with the seawalls and / or whether the drainage outfalls into the waterways are open and clear or not. The boat is safe for 6 passengers, including the Captain. Unplayable Ball (Rule 28) The Player may deem his or her ball unplayable at any place on the course, except when the ball is in a water hazard. The player is the sole judge as to whether his ball is unplayable. If the player deems his ball to be unplayable, he must, under penalty of one stroke:

A Play a ball as close as possible from the spot where the original ball was last played. B Drop a ball behind the point where the ball lay, keeping that point directly between the hole and the spot on which the ball is dropped, with no limit to how far behind that point the ball may be dropped. C Drop a ball within two club lengths of the spot where the ball lay, but not nearer to the hole.

If the unplayable ball is in a bunker, the player may proceed with A, B or C. If he or she elects to proceed with B or C, a ball must be dropped in the bunker.

When proceeding under this rule, the player may lift and clean his or her ball or substitute a ball!!

In 1972, with a $5,000 loan and maybe a bit of gumption, this writer/musician opened Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant with thirty-five cases of wine stacked on the floor. Attracted by the Old World wine cultures of Europe, Kermit became a retailer, distributor, and national importer for authentic wines that express their terroir. Beach Clean Up Frenchman’s Creek Beach and Country Club is joining the Juno Beach Civic Association and Loggerhead Marine Life Center in their efforts to keep our local beaches clean. Everyone is invited to meet beach side by the Beach Club on Saturday, February 6 th at 8:00 a.m and assist with beach cleaning. Prizes for the most and heaviest trash collected will be awarded. The Beach Clean Up is a quarterly event. Upcoming Beach Clean events are scheduled for Saturday, April 9 th and Saturday, July 9 th . Frenchman’s Creek Live Dr. Toby Cosgrove, President and CEO of the Cleveland Clinic OnWednesday, February 10 th , wewill hear fromDr.TobyCosgrove, the President and CEO of the  Cleveland Clinic. Prior to being appointed CEO, Dr. Cosgrove chaired the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular surgery, and  played a major role in leading the clinic to its worldwide prominence in the field of cardiac care. He will speak about recent and anticipated new developments concerning the healthcare delivery system in the United States. Some of these developments significantly impact patients, doctors, hospitals and other healthcare professionals, but they are all intended to make the systemmore efficient economically, while generally improving patient outcomes. As with any significant change to the status quo, there may be winners and losers. I expect Dr. Cosgrove will help us understand how we and our children and grandchildren will be affected. Dr. Ann Kirschner, Dean of the Macauley Honors College at the City University of New York Friday, March 18 th , will speak about urban universities and the numerous issues currently stirring up college campuses across the country. CUNY has a storied history, especially for Jewish students who could not afford, or could not gain acceptance to, the elite private universities. In its glory years it produced numerous Nobel Lauerates, prominent professionals and industry leaders, including many FC residents. Partly due to racial politics, it enacted an open admissions policy, which was very unsuccessful. More recently, it reversed this policy and its Honors College now competes with elite schools for the highest achieving students, most of whom are not Jewish and come fromminority groups.

A romantic melodrama set in 1930s Budapest, centers on a love triangle with tragic consequenc- es. Restaurant owner Laszlo hires pianist Andres to play in his restaurant. Both men fall in love with the beautiful waitress Ilona, who inspires Andres to write his only composition. The resulting song, is at first loved by the public but soon, its melancholic melody appears to trigger a chain of suicides The spirit and vitality of 1960s soul music are at the core of this film about a real-life Australian aborig- ine singing group and their bumpy career.
