GOLF

Dear Members, In anticipation of the upcoming holidays, I would like to provide a few reminders pertaining to the practice facilities, the golf courses and club owned golf cart use, so that everyone can have a safe and enjoyable time. During this time period, we receive many requests for additional golf carts for family use. We strongly encourage any of our members that would like additional carts to request so in advance. Additionally, there is a daily use fee for the use of a Club owned cart. Please see Todd Kitchen, Director of Outside Operations for all the details. As safety is always our top priority, only individuals with a valid driver’s license can operate a golf cart, whether it be privately owned or club owned, and all rule of the road must be adhered too. It’s always great to see all the kids and grandkids enthusiastic about golf, and we encourage them to play and practice as much as they want. However, as a friendly reminder, children under the age of 16 may only use the North end of the range and they must be accompanied by an adult. Furthermore, any guest using the South end of the range must

be properly attired, which means a collared shirt and golf short or slacks at all times. Lastly, there are a couple of important golf events being held in December: The Ladies Eclectic Championship will be held on Tuesday, December 6 and Thursday, December 8. The second Nine, Wine and Dine of the season will be held on Friday, December 9. Men’s Health Day will be held on Wednesday, December 14. Registration is currently open and additional details can be obtained in the golf shop for all the events. We wish everyone a Happy and Health Holiday season. Warmest regards, JR Congdon Director of Golf

Golf Cart Use Reminders Cart Sharing Requirements

Per the Club’s Rules and Regulations, during the season no more than two golf carts may be used when playing in a threesome or foursome, and no more than one golf cart when playing in a twosome. Please be advised that due to that significantly improved public health environment with respect to Covid-19 transmission and infection, medical waivers related to this rule will not be granted this year. Medical Flags Effective January 1, all previously issued medical flags will expire. Players who would like to extend their Medical Flag privileges (which offer relaxed on-course cart parking rules) must reapply for a 2023 Flag (bearing a distinctive new color scheme) at the Golf Shop or the Starter Shack (next to the practice putting green). A valid state-issued Disabled Person Parking Permit Certificate (or Placard) must presented to obtain a new Medical Flag. General Rules No golf cart shall be driven within ten (10) yards of the outer edge of a green or tee or a greenside bunker. Soft Areas on fairways shall also be avoided, especially after rains, and we strongly encourage members and guests to maximize use the cart paths and roughs whenever possible. We look forward to seeing everyone around the Links!!!
