GOLF

Dear Frenchman’s Creek Members, The season is upon us, and we look forward to a fun-filled and enjoyable golf year. To ensure that we have a competitive balance in all the events this season, we request that any of our members (Men and Ladies) affiliated with other Clubs that have GHIN numbers to please provide those GHIN numbers to us. We will then merge your Frenchman’s Creek GHIN number with any other club with which you may have an affiliation. Please send your affiliated Clubs GHIN number to Rocco Panzitta at RPanzitta@frenchmanscreek.com or contact the golf shop at 561-622-1620 . If you are unsure how or where to locate your GHIN number, let us know, and we will request the Club Professional at your affiliated club to obtain the number. On another note, the entire golf schedule for both Men, Ladies, and Couples events are included in this newsletter. Under separate cover, the Golf Shop will send the whole season golf schedule to the membership within the next week via email. Please save the dates of those events that you plan to participate in, and if you have any questions about any specific event, please give us a call so we can provide all the details. As always, we welcome your feedback and input and look forward to your return to Frenchman’s Creek very soon. Regards,

J.R. Congdon Director of Golf jcongdon@frenchmanscreek.com (561) 622-1620

SECURITY

HURRICANE SEASON IS HERE! WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A HURRICANE WATCH OR WARNING? Now is the time to prepare your family and your home and plan for the Hurricane Season. Watch – A Hurricane Watch means hurricane conditions (sustained winds of at least 75 mph) are possible in the area within 48 hours. Warning – A Hurricane Warning means hurricane-force conditions (sustained winds of at least 74 mph) are expected in your area in 36 hours or less. Hurricanes and strong tropical storms can bring many hazards to Frenchman’s Creek and the surrounding area, whether they approach from the Gulf Coast, north, south or east. Each storm is different, and you must be prepared for any event whether it’s a bad thunderstorm, Tropical Storm or Hurricane. Be mindful of severe thunderstorm warnings. When a warning is issued, it means that the storms may be capable of producing damaging winds or large, destructive hail. Even if no warning is in effect, seek shelter immediately if threatening weather approaches • Prepare your family: Discuss with family members and friends what your options and plans are before a storm heads for our area. Having a plan before storm season will alleviate stress for everyone, be sure to have a plan for you, your loved ones, and your pets. • Prepare your home: Walk around the exterior of your home to make sure your yard’s trees and bushes are trimmed back, yard and patio furniture have a storage space or are safely stored, shutters are ready for installation, and loose debris is safely stored away. If you need help with these items, please call the POA Office for assistance. • Prepare your plan: In the event that a storm is heading to our area, you will need a plan. Whether you stay in your home, in a home with family or friends, or you choose to leave, please contact the POA Office and let them know what actions you will take. PREPARE NOW: Whether you hunker down for a storm or decide to flee to another location, make sure you have ample medications, health aides, smartphones, computers and chargers. Also, gather important documents such as passports, social security cards, immunization records, bank information, and other essential documents. If you decide to shelter in your own home, please make sure you have ample food, water, emergency lighting, etc., to hold you over until power is restored and it’s safe to travel in and about the community. MAKE A HURRICANE KIT

And lastly, if you need any assistance, please contact the POA Office at 561-627-1467 . The POA Office and the Frenchman’s Creek Security Team are available 24/7 to help you in any way we can.
