it states: “Interior design of commercial structures…Needs a DBPR License” and “Interior decorating or interior design of residences does not need a DBPR License”. Thus, while some ambiguity is created by this language, we would still conclude that no license is required for interior decorators as a Florida license is not required for this scope of services. In an effort to gain further clarity on the issue, we spoke with David Minacci, the prosecuting attorney for the DBPR who confirmed that a license is not required to perform interior decorating services for non-residential buildings.
